High Park Little League Opening Day
On Saturday, May 9th, hundreds of baseball players from all different divisions and age groups marched from the gates of High Park to Ernie Keith Field, all dressed in their uniforms. The Braves, Blue Jays, Phillies, Orioles, Mets, Athletics, Red Sox ... they were all there. The day marked the beginning of the High Park Little League Baseball season. Unfortunately, the weather didn't cooperate and washed out some of the other activities that were planned. But the rain couldn't curb the enthusiasm of the young boys and girls as they were eager to get the season underway. This year marks the 58th year of High Park Little League Baseball. Congratulations to all the organizers who helped coordinate the day's festivities, and best of luck to all of the players for another great season. Let's play ball!
