Inside Ride
On January 30th, Humberside Collegiate Institute once again hosted the Inside Ride, Canada's first indoor cycling challenge and fundraising event dedicated to raising monies in support of families and children living with cancer. The school's gymnasium was a beehive of activity for two hours as 23 teams of students and teachers worked up a sweat on the stationary bikes for the Coast to Coast Against Cancer Foundation. Music pumped out of the speakers and words of encouragement were shouted to inspire the participants as they pedaled as fast as they could. It was a fun 120-minute challenge that had everyone exhausted by the time it ended and, most importantly, proud of what they had accomplished. The event raised over $5,000.
