High Park Soccer Finals
October 1st was a busy day for Toronto High Park FC soccer players and their families as they gathered for the season-ending championship day. It started out a little cold and windy, but the weather improved as players hit the pitch. At High Park, the West End United Conference held their annual finals day with 1,100 players invited to receive medals, enjoy pizza and watch championship games in each of nine divisions. At Rennie Park, the Swansea Conference held the annual U12 and U15 division tournaments featuring another 200 players. Toronto High Park FC is the largest soccer club in the community, serving over 2,700 players. It's a community-based, volunteer-run, non-profit soccer club that focuses on providing a positive and supportive soccer experience for our community's youth, ages four to 18. They run two separate outdoor house leagues, an indoor house league, a Rep program, a Select program, and an Everyone Wins! program for children with special needs. They also offer a house league for women and a U21 team for men. For information, visit torontohighparkfc.ca.
