Mia & her coach Marco

Jack of Sports Swimclub

On June 19th Jack of Sports Swimclub invited SNAP to drop by their last class of the spring season at Western Tech to document what goes down. The red cross certified coaches at Jack of Sports adopt the policy that 'everybody swims', no matter what financial situation a person finds themselves in. In ten, one hour classes per seasonal session, kids form small groups and move from station to station in 15 minute intervals. This method enables learners to practice a range of different skills, and ensures that each student receives a lot of one-on-one time from instructors. Each class starts off with a bang when coaches take a dive into the deep end and swim the length of the pool towards the kids. When the classes wrap up things get less serious, and everybody joins in for a game of water polo. The summer session started on June 26th. Jack of Sports also offers multi-sport summer camps at local area schools. For more information call 416-489-4777 or visit www.jackofsports.com.
