Making a Difference In Our Community

Cecil Ward & Sons and Gibson's Cleaners, long established retailers in Bloor West Village, recently gave back to the community with a holiday clothing drive. This one, however, was aimed at helping the men in our community. Men are often left out in holiday efforts, with children being the focus of most people's generosity. Throughout the month of December, these two retailers partnered to collect gently used men's clothing and grooming products for Runnymede United Church. The church supports the Keele Street Rehabilitative Centre, a place where men begin the process of reentering society. Both Doug Ward of Cecil Ward and Rob McConnell from Gibson's hope to encourage more retailers to build on this incredibly worthwhile event for years to come.
