The Local Pub's 5th Anniversary Bash
The always popular Local Pub in Roncesvalles Village celebrated its fifth year on Sunday, December 20th. To commemorate the occasion they threw a birthday bash and invited the entire neighbourhood to share in the celebration. Balloons and streamers floating from the ceiling welcomed all those who dropped in to settle down for a pint (or two) and join in on the fun. The pub was packed throughout the night as neighbours visited to extend congratulations to owners Melissa and Rue for making The Local a true success. Our SNAP photographers joined in the fun to capture the festivities. Many of the guests we spoke with were loyal regulars who like the fact that the pub promotes local musicians and artists, which adds to and reflects the culture of Roncesvalles. A terrific lineup of live music acts were arranged for the anniversary evening which kept the crowd entertained and on their feet.
Congratulations to Melissa and Rue. We are all looking forward to many more years of fun and enjoyment at The Local Pub. Visit them sometime soon at 396 Roncesvalles Ave., beside the Revue Cinema.
