Grayson gets his chance to tell the big fella what he wants for Christmas

Bloor West Cavalcade of Lights

The annual Cavalcade of Lights returned its magical holiday glow to our community with the lighting of the Christmas tree at the corner of Bloor and Jane on Thursday, November 12th. Crowds from around Bloor West Village gathered at the Alex Ling Fountain for the celebration that featured the Humberside C.I. band and free hot chocolate generously supplied by Timothy's. Toronto Hydro and TABIA were on hand for the holiday light exchange, where hundreds of people turned in two sets of old incandescent lights and received a new set of energy-efficient LED ones in return. The highlight, of course, was the arrival of Old Saint Nick, who was greeted by a reception of Beatle-esque proportions as kids lined up to tell him what they wanted to find under the tree on Christmas morning.
