RAC Celebrates the Earth

Our planet's youngest generation continued to learn the virtue of being environmentally responsible when the kids of Runnymede Adventure Club (RAC) spent a mid-August morning with Liz, who was teaching them all about vermicomposting
(composting with worms). The educational workshop showed the kids how vermicomposting not only benefits the Earth but also the garden, something they will surely appreciate when they are a little older. The day was rounded out nicely with activities, giveaways and a snack of worms ... of the gummy variety, of course.
Runnymede Adventure Club is based out of Runnymede Public School. Call 416-766-5599 to learn more.
