Nelson was masterful on the guitar and with his soulful vocals

Comedy & Music by the Lake

Every second Wednesday, Sunnyside Café is the scene of some wonderful music and side-splitting comedy. In early July, we dropped by the lakeside cafe to check out the entertainment.
The band Melting Pot kicked off the show with its rock 'n' roll soul sound led by Nelson Sobral, who weaved his soulful vocals and blistering guitar work into each and every song with the help of bassist Darin Meilleur and drummer Carmelo Galle. After a short break, comedian Stephen Cox hit the stage and the hilarity ensued. The veteran weaved his comedic magic and had the crowd in absolute hysterics.
To enjoy some good ol' rock 'n' roll and much more than a few guaranteed laughs, head to the Sunnyside Café. Tickets cost just $10 and can be purchased at the door.
