2008 November > The Kingsway Pumpkin Festival

The 6th annual Pumpkinfest returned to The Kingsway on Saturday, October 25th, and despite grey skies and sprinkles of rain it was a huge success. Jackson Ave. was again the site of this year’s festival and it was decorated with bales of hay, corn stalks and pumpkins to give it a real Halloween feel. There was loads of fun for everyone with face painting, pumpkin decorating, street entertainers, a costume contests and a great Pumpkin Parade. Many of the local merchants were involved as they gave away candy to the early trick-or-treaters. There were also lots of fun prizes given away for pumpkin decorating and colouring contests, and to those wearing the best costumes. Many thanks to all those who volunteered their time to make this successful event possible.
