2008 November > Gerard Kennedy Wins Big

The closely contested federal election in the Parkdale-High Park riding came right down to the wire in mid-October and saw Liberal candidate Gerard Kennedy narrowly edge out the incumbent Peggy Nash of the NDP party. The hard fought battle between two strong candidates was a real nail biter. SNAP photographers took in all the election action on the evening of October 14th and witnessed both the cheers from Kennedy's supporters as Gerard delivered his victory speech and the tears and heartfelt hugs at Peggy Nash's campaign gathering.
