2008 November > Building a Better Community
Representatives of the City of Toronto's Parks, Forestry and Recreation division and Lowe's Canada announced the re-opening of the playground at the Vine Avenue Parkette in the Junction neighbourhood late last month. Lowe's volunteers were on site along with several dignitaries on Friday, September 26th to prepare the site for play by putting the finishing touches on the park. Lowe's generously donated a $15,000 grant to help refurbish the playground with a new play structure for children in the Junction to enjoy.
