2008 November > The Redwood Celebrates 15 Years Since 1993, the Redwood has opened its doors to over 3,500 women and children seeking safe haven from abuse and help them get their lives back on track. On October 8th, we joined them for an Open House and reception in celebration of their fifteenth year of helping women and children who are in need. The Redwood's staff and members of the board of directors, as well as former residents, donors and volunteers, were in attendance for the important occasion that featured guided tours of the emergency shelter, refreshments and the sharing of 15 stories from 15 members of the Redwood community.
