2008 November > Gourmet Safari Discovers Spain

Gourmet Safari, the culinary vacation company, welcomed guests to "test drive" a travel food adventure to Spain on October 9th at the Kingsway LCBO. Gourmet cook Jackie DeKnock and her team created delicious Spanish tapas and other authentic foods of the culturally diverse European country. She walked the guests through a culinary vacation experience, beginning at a hotel situated in a centuries-old, Moorish-style building and exploring the beautiful countryside of olive groves and sherry cellars. Jackie was entertaining and insightful as she taught the crowd how to create an assortment of authentic, healthful tapas recipes with fresh produce. The delicious dishes were paired with wines selected by the LCBO product consultant. It was a superb evening. At the end of the two-hour food adventure, one lucky guest received a $100 gift certificate to put toward the purchase price of a Gourmet Safari culinary vacation.
