2008 November > Another Season Begins for the High Park Choir

Not only is September the beginning of a new school year but it also marks the start of the High Park Choir's new season. The well-known children and youth choir kicked off the 2008/09 season on September 25th with a series of open rehearsals. The annual event gives returning students an opportunity to see old friends and warm up their vocal chords. It also gives new students the chance to be an honorary member for a day and get a taste of what it's like to sing in a choir. SNAP caught the "early birds" (ages 5-7) rehearsing under the watchful eye of conductor Margaret Standfield accompanied by Marina on the piano. The children were eager to listen and learn.
