On Saturday November 17th, Auhtorized Red Cross Provider ERT - Emergency Response Training offered their specifcally designed Baby/Child CPR & First Aid Workshop for a group of parents and their infants. A unique workshop where particpants can bring their infants as they learn lifesaving and valuable skills. Instructed by Valerie, who incourages new parents, grandparents and caregivers to take part, the workshop covers skills such as cpr, choking, severe allergies, posions, accessing 911, keeping children safe and an informative forum which alows particiapnts to contact ERT with first aid questions at any time. All the participants left Humber Valley United Church confident in their new lifesaving skills with rave reviews for ERT and the Baby/Child CPR program. As serious allergies become more common, Valerie demonstrates the use of an epee pen and how to administer it.

Moms and Dads got to do one-on-one practice on their infants. The hands-on approach provides the parents with the confidence in their abilities to handle a crisis with my baby.

With the use of a dummy baby, Valerie is able to show the participants techniques on how to stop a baby from chocking.
